Toxin-Free Resources!

Of course, it's impossible for any blog or website to have a list of every single product ever and how toxic or toxin-free they may be. Luckily, there are those out there who put together very helpful resources for the rest of us (and I hope this blog can be one of them)! Take a look below for some of the other resources I use on a regular basis to help me make the best and healthiest decisions possible. Leave any suggestions you may have for others in the comments below!

Happy shopping!

Apps

Think Dirty

The app that started it all! The discovery of Think Dirty was what first pushed me to start thinking about what exactly was in all of my day-to-day products. I immediately started scanning all of the items in my bathroom and I was shocked at what I found! Quickly I became determined to transition into 100% toxin-free purchases.

This app is my first go-to when I'm out shopping. It is super handy to have on your phone. Pick up any product right there in the store and you can scan the barcode in app. If it's in the Think Dirty system, the app will bring up the product's page and its rating, as well as details about the ingredients. If it's a "dirty" product, it will also give you "clean" alternatives! With over a million products in its database, it's a great starting point to cleaning out your cupboards and making quick decisions on the go.

GoodGuide

If a product I'm interested in isn't on Think Dirty, I also check on a second app called GoodGuide. With over 75,000 products on their app, it's another great resource to have that is phone accessible. Like Think Dirty, it has a barcode scanner that enables you to quickly access information for a specific product while you're shopping, and it will also suggest cleaner alternatives right there on the product page. With these two apps in your pocket, the power to make more conscious decisions is all yours!
